PrieSTORY, 2011

 

Textile objects are installed on the walls. They have various forms and shapes. They mix the idea of architectural space and clothes design into one. As the clothes cover the human body so does the space in similar way; the flat or house enwraps us, our bodies. We breathe the air which is inside. The walls are our protection against outside, our protective clothing. The walls have the form of designs of the clothes and they create the space around us. The embroidery on the surface shows the scenes from the house, from the flat. This mixture creates the inter-space somewhere between clothes and insides of the flat, somewhere between clothes and space which cover us, surround us. Objects are miniature spaces with a story; colorful embroidery fills in the white background. The designs, two-dimensional, became a three-dimensional space.

 

Textilné objekty sú nainštalované na stenách galérie. Majú rôzne formy a tvary. Prepája sa v nich idea architektonického priestoru a strihov odevov. Tak ako odev obaľuje telo, priestor, dom, byt obaľuje nás, naše telo. Dýchame vzduch, ktorý je dnu. Steny sú našou hradbou, naším ochranným odevom pred vonkajškom. Strihy sa stali stenami, odev vytvára priestor okolo nás. Strojová výšivka na strihu odevu dokresľuje scény z domu, z bytu. Vytvára medzi-priestor, niekde medzi odev a bytom, niekde medzi odevom a priestorom, ktoré nás zahaľujú a obklopujú. Objekty sú miniatúrne priestory s príbehom, farebná výšivka vypĺňa biely podklad. Strih, dvojrozmerný, sa stal trojrozmerným priestorom.
