Exhibition DEKOR 2 is a new version of the previous exhibition in Bratislava Gallery X called simply DEKOR.
We asked authors for new works or chose other artist working with ideas of decorating ceramics in interesting, new, experimental way. Selected artists use various ceramic technologies, traditional, but also new technologies and 3D programs to create attractive results. Some of them work with colour in the form of the imprints added on the glazed surface, or colours under glaze, or with gold and platinum which can cover the whole surface of the object. Some of them also work with plastic relief. Other authors mix technologies of two different media, ceramics and glass work. Or they mix ceramic material with other materials (f. e. concrete).
This exhibition offers the set of various objects and products of ceramic materials and porcelain with the addition of non-ceramic materials. Pieces get the required form of the artist’s idea with the use of classical or new technologies which at the same time defines their function.
